James Gesner M.A.R.L.A Director

James became an Estate Agent in 1997 and has built a strong reputation within the industry. Having previously worked for corporate agents in High Wycombe, Reading and Didcot, James took over Lesters Estate Agents in Wallingford in 2001 and then opened an office in Didcot in 2007. With an excellent reputation and vast experience of selling and letting all types of properties across South Oxfordshire, James made the move to set up his own estate agency in 2015. James Gesner Estate Agents was born.

James grew up in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, attending the village primary school and then Wallingford Secondary School. He bought his first house in Didcot back in 2000 and now lives in Wallingford with his wife and four children. James loves a challenge; over the last 4 years he has run the London Marathon three times, raising over £25,000 for three different charities. £30,000 has been raised for the Footsteps Foundation since 2015. James is now an Ambassador of this charity and continues to support them. James enjoys a game of golf and is a long-standing member at Hadden Hill Golf Club in Didcot.

Holly Weston M.A.R.L.A

Holly Weston M.A.R.L.AProperty Manager

Holly has worked with James as Property Manager for the last eight years. During this time she has undertaken extensive training to become fully qualified via A.R.L.A. On a day to day basis, Holly deals with everything landlord and tenant related. This includes drawing up Tenancy Agreements, organising maintenance, making sure our Landlords get paid on time and registering Tenants' deposits with the TDS scheme.

Holly lives in Wallingford, having previously lived in Abingdon and North Oxford. She can often be found at 6.30am sessions at the Barn Fitness in Cholsey or sipping cocktails with friends at the Chequers, Burcot.

David Rayfield N.A.E.A

David Rayfield N.A.E.A Assistant Manager

David graduated from the University of the West of England in 2008 and has worked with James ever since.

He has lived in the area all his life and bought his first home on the Ladygrove in 2012. He has recently become a father for the second time and his family now live in Wallingford to be closer to the practice where his wife works as a district nurse.

Having owned homes in both local towns and only recently been through the sale and purchase process himself, David understands completely how stressful moving can be and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service throughout the entire process. David enjoys all aspects of his role, particularly valuing properties and undertaking viewings on properties offered for sale and to rent.

Carl Davis BSc hons MSc

Carl Davis BSc hons MSc Senior Negotiator

Carl was born and raised in the village of Upton and now lives in Didcot in Great Western Park. He is a familiar face around the town, renowned for representing England over the last 16 years at Taekwon-Do and becoming European Champion in April 2017. He also runs a very successful Taekwon-Do school in Wantage. Carl is extremely passionate about this martial art which has taught him determination, respect, courtesy and honesty.

It is these traits which have made Carl an instant success during his four years in the industry. Carl’s favorite part of Estate Agency is meeting people, forming solid relationships and pushing a sale through to the very end.

Gemma Gesner

Gemma GesnerLettings Admin/Accounts Manager

Gemma has worked in our lettings department since it began in 2005 and has an extensive knowledge of the legal aspects as well as an excellent rapport with our landlords and tenants. Like the rest of our staff, Gemma has lived in the local area all her life having grown up in Cholsey. Gemma and James now live in Wallingford and have four children, a cat and a dog. In her spare time, Gemma likes to cook, read, socialise with friends and spend time with her family.

Charlotte Burls

Charlotte, who has been with us for almost a year, has lived in Oxfordshire all her life and currently lives on the Ladygrove in Didcot. Charlotte is a valued member of staff and really loves the day to day dealing with our rental properties and the contact between landlords and tenants. Being the first port of call for tenants, Charlotte is able to advise them on what properties are available. When Charlotte is not in the office, she loves to walk her dog, Arthur, and socialise with friends.

Kerry Gibbon

Kerry has lived in Benson for many years and loves her weekend role because she really enjoys showing people around our varied stock of properties. It’s a big change from her week day job, where Kerry runs a day nursery in Ewelme. She is a great people person and loves to share her extensive knowledge about the area to prospective buyers and tenants. When Kerry isn’t working, she spends time with her husband and two teenage boys. She also loves a quiet drink at her local pub, the Three Horseshoes, in Benson.
